{oven baked granola bars}[gluten-free]

Using just a couple of basic ingredients like oatmeal, butter, sugar and honey, spice it up with walnut, hazelnut, dried fruits, coconut flakes or ginger for your taste; and your delicious and healthy granola is ready to bake. You can also pair it with our delicious soy parfait if you’re really hungry. At this time these are the ingredients I found in my pantry:


3 cups oatmeal

100 gr butter

½ cup brown sugar

3-4 tbs honey

1 ts cinnamon

1 cup dried fruits, diced (i used dried apricots)

1 lemon or orange zest, but you can use both


Pre-heat the oven to 340F. Butter an 8 by 12-inch baking dish and line it with parchment paper.

Place the butter, honey and brown sugar in a big saucepan and bring to boil over low heat. Cook and stir until sugar dissolves, then add the oatmeal mixture and stir well. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Wet your fingers and lightly press the mixture evenly into the pan. Bake for 30 minutes, until light golden brown. Cut it while it’s hot. Serve it for breakfast or when you crave for some sweets. Enjoy!
